Re: Vibrations from the front suspension

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I take it you mean the top mounts?

Curiously, (a) the noise didn't exist before the suspension overhaul, even though the original top mount bearings were shattered, and (b) you would have assumed that the replacements would last longer than 16,000 miles ...

Vibrations from the front suspension

Hey there, I was hoping someone might give me some advice on what would be causing the front end of my early '98 523i sedan to make a little clonking noise.

For whatever reason, I just don't feel confident utilizing BimmerCode, therefore I'm going to assume that the dealership can handle it too.

B18 Sensor for Altitude and Pressure

The B18 sensor, which measures altitude pressure, is something I only found out about. Despite claims to the contrary, I have been unable to locate it in my 1981 Mercedes 380SL. Can you point me in the right direction if it has one? Thank you ahead of time.

Re: In comparison to the E-3, which series is superior, the C350?

"The simpler it is, the better it is" has always been my philosophy when it comes to turbos.

I have a buddy who owned a W116 and swears by the fact that the stock turbo, gearbox, and engine lasted for 600,000 miles.

A W-211 diesel engine with two turbos was also in his possession.

Like you, I ...

Re: Pipe for Coolant Burst

I talked on the phone for a while with the dealership near me. Since the tank is also readily available, I'm thinking it may be prudent to replace all of the coolant lines just in case.

Re: Pipe for Coolant Burst

It appears to be this pipe here, just behind the auxiliary water pump - A1248325894.
