I just wrapped the wire harness and zip-tied it down, leaving most of the emission garbage attached to the passenger fender. I will eliminate it properly one day. MM....a fan shroud would be handy! Putting the shroud on the standard fan makes it function much better.

This modification was performed on my 1986 B2000. I will take a few pictures and upload them.
Most of your queries may be easily answered by looking at the photographs.
I highly suggest creating separate plates for your egr and other items as well.
