i have a 88 camaro rs , originally it was a v6 i had a v8 droped in it 350 engine , carbed , from first to second gear it jerks real hard unless i let off the gass before it hits second gear , any ideas on what this might be?

First guess is the TV cable is misadjusted and giving it too much pressure. Have you checked that?
