Hi guys, I am a new member to the forum as well as a new Camaro owner. I just bought a 99 Camaro 3800 V6 (automatic). I'd prefer manual but I can't really complain considering I got an incredible deal on it. She has about 91,000 miles on her and other than some minor body damage I have only found one problem so far. It only happens sometimes while making left turns. After completing the turn and returning the wheel, I hear a loud KLANK which sounds to be coming from the back end. Has anyone had a similar experience or maybe know of what might be causing this noise?

My initial though is there is a busted mount Body/suspension/rearendexhaust that on the turns pops apart then klanks back together when the body settles. Will it do it under hard acceleration?
have you had it on a lift?

It seems to only happen on left turns. It accelerates really smooth. I'm about to get a tune up and oil change, so it'll be on the lift soon enough. I checked out the exhaust and there is a little bit of play in it, but it doesn't seem like thats what would be causing it....

Check the suspension and body mounts too. They are usually rubber about one could be bad.
