Here's some info on the 68
This 68 Camaro is designed and custom built by Jim Johnson of Jim’s Body & Paint in Geneva ,Iowa.
It belongs to Donny Warneke. Donny got the car in 1985 and drove it throughout High School.
He and my boy ran together. Travis had a 71 Chevelle at the time. They were two of the local gearheads, who, together built, raced, swapped, and grenaded more than a few engines, and scattered many other parts across the countryside. I helped put the Camaro back together after a couple of outta control ditch rides. Along the way the 68 got pushed, motorless, in the barn for a long rest. In 2003 it got drug into my shop again, this time for a nice restoration. This thing was beat to death and needed it all. Why restore at this stage? Let’s build. The outdoor pictures are from Dec. 06 ,Then it was put in the trailer to go for interior. It went Dec. 27, 07 to Recovery Room Hot Rod Interiors for a one off Custom treatment by Tracy Weaver and Crew. I will update soon.

That is one sweet ride! Love the front grill over the lights!
Take no offence, but that last pic looks almost like the Challenger..another sweet ride!

I have never been a fan of lowered vehicles with oversized rims..........but they look very nice on your 68. I love the grill over headlights, give it a unique touch!!!! Job well done!!!!

Great work. The set up and details are awesome! The taillights look more like the firebird version did you use them on the back? How did you get the front bottom moldings? Did you use a body kit or was it all custom? That is a outstanding custom creation, I look forward to more pictures--including engine shots.

Here's a few pics of the Custom 68 Camaro since it was finished. It was chosen to recieve The COOL CAMARO Award at The 18th Annual Heartland Nationals GOODGUYS event in DesMoines Iowa this past July. We were honored, to say the least. Customizing one of these is always risky and goes outside the box, but the car has been well accepted everywhere we've gone, with few exceptions.

Damn thats a clean ride. Hell of ao lot of Red underneth. I'd be afraid to drive it for fear of messing the underbody up. Not a big fan of the quad headlights. Its not bad but its not Camaro. If that makes sense.
